Complaints

Kiddies' Corner aims to provide the highest standards of care to pre-school and after-school children in the area. We wish to provide a safe, caring, friendly, environment where a child can develop and grow successfully and happily.

We welcome any comment, be it critical or complimentary, so that we can improve our service to both the parent and child.

Procedure

  * If a parent has any concerns, queries, criticisms or complaints, it is essential to let a member of the nursery staff know.
  * If, after 2 weeks, the situation has not improved and they feel that the incident has not been dealt with effectively, it is necessary to take the following steps.
  * The complaint or concern should be put in writing
  * Kiddies' Corner will then contact the parent to arrange a meeting at a convenient time.
  * A written record will be made of the meeting and the outcome.
  * We at Kiddies' Corner will do our best to resolve any problems that arise. However, in extreme circumstances, if the problem can not be resolved through discussions between the parent, nursery and in some cases, the child, then the local registration and inspection unit will be involved to ensure that the requirements of the Children's Act 1989 are met.

If a parent feels it necessary they can contact Care and Social Services Inspectorate Wales (CSSIW) with their complaint:
